Hood National Forest, Hood River Ranger District, Fromthe Dee Mill and the jct. of the 13 and 2820 roads. Follow the 2820 northwest for 11.3 miles to the trail #411 trailhead. Hike the 411 trail north for approximately 2.2 miles, the leave trail and head northeast onto ridge. Follow the ridge northeast for about 6000 feet to Reference pont tree. note: Allow plenty of time to get to the sample unit and to hike out.
